What the day will look like

The Reinsurance Global Risk Director will be primarily responsible for:

• Developing a strong risk management culture in the business and the regions in which it operates (including providing training, resources and materials to support this)
• Working with businesses and Aon's shared services to deliver satisfactory KPIs with a core focus on Product Governance and mitigation of E&O, Data and Market Risks
• Providing leadership and oversight of Aon's key risk metrics - leveraging the Reinsurance Global Risk Committee (and it's sub-committees) and leadership meetings
• Closely collaborating with the Regional Risk Officers on ERM

How this opportunity is different

Aon is evolving its Risk & Governance framework and is seeking broader engagement from the Solution Lines and their leaders. This role gives you the opportunity to drive engagement, deliver improved reporting and manage risk to better results consistent with Aon's risk appetite. Equally, the role is supported by a dedicated team and a network of Solution Line and Regional Risk Colleagues all pushing for the same continuous improvement in our operations' risk profile. Your work is critical to Aon's Enterprise Risk Management programme and will be viewed by the senior most colleagues in Aon!

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• A strong, confident style of leadership and the ability to manage stakeholders in different cultures where English is often not their first language.
• The adeptness to manage multiple works streams and effectively co-ordinate output from your team and your internal clients in the regions.
• Confidence in presenting hi-level and detailed analyses to senior risk and business colleagues.
• Results driven with an enquiring mind to learn from data and analyses as to how Aon can improve its risk profile.
• An understanding of Aon's organisational structure and 3x3 aims
