The Role
What you'll be doing:
- Leading process and controls within the FP&A function, overseeing conducting regular reviews including but not limited to capitalisation reviews, new client set up reviews, balance sheets.
- Act as the primary liaison between the FP&A function and external auditors during financial audits and reviews. Own the coordination, and delivery of all FP&A-related audit requirements. . Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of submitted schedules and reconciliations, while proactively addressing audit queries and clarifications. Drive process improvements to strengthen internal controls, enhance audit readiness, and ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Design, refine, and maintain financial models and interactive dashboards to review past results, project future performance, and assess potential growth opportunities.
- Develop a data rich, data driven decision culture by upskilling the wider FP&A team and working in conjunction with financial intelligence utilise tools such as PowerBI to enable better analytics / insight and greater level of 'self service' management information
- Oversee special initiatives and conduct ad hoc analyses for executive leadership, supplying actionable recommendations to advance strategic priorities.
Skills & Experience
You'll need to demonstrate:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or possession of industry recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Proven experience and background in reporting and financial analysis,
- Advanced knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and corporate finance principles.
- Background in financial modelling
- Strong verbal & written communication, excellent presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups and advanced excel formulas
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively
- Experience working with enterprise financial systems (e.g., ERP, EPM) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
