This is an exciting opportunity to use your exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively solve complex tax related issues and advise key stakeholders.

As part of the People Movement Product, the EMEA Global Mobility team provides subject matter expertise on all assignment and relocation related matters across the EMEA region.

As a Global Mobility EMEA Tax Manager you will be responsible for managing EMEA income tax and social security compliance matters for expatriates, repatriates, permanent transfers and other key mobility initiatives.

You will provide end to end support throughout the entire assignment life cycle to achieve exceptional client experience while also providing advisory services to the wider HR community with consideration to policies. You will bring necessary EMEA tax technical expertise required to deliver a first class mobility program across the globe.

Your ability to understand and clearly communicate tax scenarios will be critical for success, as is solid time management skills to ensure multiple deadlines are met. You will be expected to proactively identify employee and Firm tax implications and work to mitigate these whilst understanding and raising any wider impacts.

Job responsibilities

  • Be subject matter expert for EMEA individual income tax and social security
  • Manage EMEA service delivery by global tax services vendor
  • Review supplemental cash, equity and termination payments for home and host country tax and social security withholding requirements
  • Oversee year-end compensation reporting (e.g., P11D and PSA), tax reimbursement and payment processes
  • Management of the Certificate of Coverage process
  • Provide tax advisory support to UK Expatriate Payroll including RTI, HMRC tax agreements (e.g., Appendices 5, 6, and 7 and S690) and social security agreements.
  • Review the impact of new tax and social security legislation
  • Work closely with Global Mobility Advisors in assignment planning to identify ways to structure assignments effectively in EMEA locations from tax, social security and cost perspectives
  • Partner closely with employment and corporate tax teams to ensure alignment

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Substantial Global Mobility tax experience, Big 4 experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and leverage similar ongoing efforts, meeting multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with strong client focus
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner
