Job Description:

Global Foundational Insights Fabric Manager

The Global Foundational Insights Fabric Manager sits within Global Business Operations and is responsible for designing, optimising, and governing Dentsu's Workforce data model and foundational BI environment in Microsoft Fabric. The role partners closely with the Enterprise Data team in Global Technology to ensure architectural alignment, data quality, governance standards, and scalable delivery. The focus is on building robust data models, modernising automation (including data quality frameworks), harmonising datasets, and enabling high‑quality, self‑service insights across the organisation.

The role

Architecture Ownership & Engineering Excellence

  • Own and optimise the end‑to‑end Workforce data model architecture in Microsoft Fabric
  • Improve model performance, scalability, maintainability, and design quality
  • Define and enforce modelling standards (star schema, fact/dimension modelling, naming conventions, refresh strategies, partitioning, DAX/SQL best practice)
  • Refactor tables for modularity, conformed dimensions, row‑level security, and domain‑aligned access
  • Implement data quality rules, validation checks, and lineage tracking; integrate with catalog/metadata tools
  • Lead architecture reviews, resolve design inconsistencies, and guide technical decisions across squads
  • Partner with Enterprise Data to maintain integrated architecture and consistent modelling practices
  • Direct offshore engineering teams to deliver Fabric semantic models for self‑service and enterprise reporting

Automation

  • Define and deliver the automation roadmap for workforce‑related processes
  • Build and maintain automated tools for data quality checks (model consistency, source‑to‑target validation)
  • Automate high‑volume or repetitive tasks to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual workloads
  • Train and support users on automation solutions and best practices

Governance & Security

  • Own documentation standards, including architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and runbooks
  • Ensure compliance with governance, security, and access controls for Workforce data models
  • Communicate model updates clearly to stakeholders and support adoption across markets and functions

What you bring

  • Extensive experience delivering enterprise‑scale solutions on Microsoft Fabric or equivalent (Azure Synapse/Databricks + Power BI + Lakehouse)
  • Deep expertise in dimensional modelling, semantic layer design, DAX/SQL optimisation, and BI security
  • Strong background in architecture standards, CI/CD, documentation, and engineering best practice
  • Ability to define long‑term architecture roadmaps and deliver them in structured phases
  • Analytical thinker able to simplify complexity, identify patterns, and design scalable solutions
  • Skilled at balancing operational imperatives with long‑term architectural strategy
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication; able to act as design authority and challenge assumptions
  • Experience coaching and upskilling teams, including offshore engineering groups
  • Understanding of workforce, HR, and time‑tracking data structures (e.g., Workday, Workfront, custom timesheet systems)

A few of the benefits

  • You'll have a great compensation package, private health & dental insurance and corporate discounts
  • 29+ days of annual leave (25 days of regular holidays, birthdays off and 3 additional wellness days)
  • We also offer the opportunity to volunteer for up to 2 days per year and tend to close down the agency between Christmas and New Years
  • You'll have a hybrid working schedule, with flexible start/end hours
