What will you be doing?
This role will be part of Constellation (sitting within Starcom), a multi-disciplinary team with ambitions of transforming marketing by putting people (including our consumers) first. We're looking for new talent to work on one of Publicis Groupe's most prized clients, Samsung, a top-five-in-the-world company boasting an audience of over 1 billion people in 80 countries. Constellation manages over a billion dollars of media investment on behalf of Samsung, in addition to creative, CRM and data assignments. Constellation is a key partner in Samsung's marketing ecosystem and, in turn, Samsung is a key client for Publicis Groupe. Publicis Groupe is committed to delivering the best value for Samsung by bringing the best of the Groupe's talent and capabilities to Samsung's marketing.
Our relationship with Samsung is global, long-standing and multi-disciplinary. We are looking for a Global Commercial Director who can manage the complex commercial elements of our relationship Samsung, in co-operation with internal Publicis stakeholders. The role will be primarily focused on media but may, over time, cover other disciplines such as CRM and creative.
This role will report to the Global Client Finance Lead (GCFL) who is responsible for overall financial and commercial management for Constellation, in partnership with the Global Client Lead and the global discipline leads, such as the Global Media Lead, the Global Creative Lead etc.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall commercial strategy on the Samsung account, primarily media but potentially other disciplines as well.
- Build a strong, trusting relationship with the agency management function in the client's global team.
- Manage commercial queries from the global and local clients
- Develop and maintain key commercial reporting, including for Value Based Media and Annual Volume Bonuses to report to the client's global agency management team.
- Develop new commercial models that will provide value to clients
- Contribute to periodic renegotiations of the global Master Service Agreement
- Contribute to periodic renegotiations of media services, including hourly based rates and commissions
- Managing APEX reporting and delivery
- Managing MSA, DSA, NDA and low level legal compliance
- AVB and other financial reporting

- Ability to manage multiple workstreams with multiple stakeholders on an ongoing basis, continually pushing projects forward.
- An innovation focused mindset, fascinated by the ever-changing digital world and what's possible for clients.
Experience
- A strong practitioner, with experience gained from within a digital agency, client digital/data role, media agency or other similar role.
- Have managed multi- million budgets across an international scope.
- Flexibility to travel internationally from time-to-time (~10x per year).
