ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Global Assistant Brand Manager is a key member within the global marketing team. The role is responsible for supporting company growth by assisting with end-to-end execution of ghd core & always on focus, including GWP catalogue; always ensuring global brand consistency, in line with commercial strategy.
The Global Assistant Brand Manager will be responsible for supporting the team with administration, research and project management of core categories & always on activations in line with the global marketing calendar, coupled with global brand guardianship.
The Global Assistant Brand Manager will support the global marketing team, reporting directly into the Global Brand Manager.
LOCATION
This role will be based in our London (Soho) office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Intelligence:
- Develop and review trend reports, summarising and sharing relevant findings with the Global Marketing team
- Keeping abreast of the ever-changing A.I landscape, analysing what is happening in the Beauty/Beauty tech space
- Analyse competition on a worldwide basis:
- Conducting and upkeeping competitor reports
- Upkeeping pricing trackers
- Monitoring social media trends
Go To Market:
- Be a key contact for the Asset Library management
- Be a key contact for regions to assist with ad-hoc requests - sending files, following up with queries
- Support the creation of key Presentations to Management team and markets
Core & Always On:
- Responsible for end-to-end delivery of annual GWP catalogue
- Cross-functional collaboration with Regions, Design, Studio, Digital, Finance, Operation and Supply Chain
- Support the team to Core & Always on focus
- Maintain all copy files and ensure excellent version control; maintain a copy library for each category to ensure all copy information is easy to access in one place
- Attend packaging meetings and studio team meetings and work closely with the packaging project manager and studio team to ensure all deadlines are met
- Assisting with the build of campaign briefs
- Assisting with campaign shoot planning and deliverables, including liaising with external partners
- Assist with the management of campaign assets, including being responsible for uploading and maintaining Asset Library
- Assist with the deployment of go to market launch dossiers
- Support Global Brand Managers on post launch analysis
Digital:
- Digitally native approach, collaboration with social media and digital teams
- Understanding of social media networks / channels and how to maximise opportunities
- Global brand guardian, supporting global brand consistency and prioritization of customer journey, (website, CRM and social)
- Understanding of best practices to help maximise launch potential and local market activation
- Understanding of ghd target consumers' culture, fashion and hair trends
Budgeting:
- Raise purchase orders for the Global Marketing Team
- Up-keep and accuracy of the budget tracker providing regular updates to the team to ensure management of the total Global Marketing spend
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrable marketing experience (1+ year), ideally in luxury, beauty or fashion
- Educated to degree level
- Passionate about the ghd brand, with genuine interest in hair styling
- Strong organisational skills, with focus on meeting deadlines
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are achieved
- High level of rigor and attention to detail
- Self-starter with the desire to learn
- Proactive with a positive attitude and flexible approach to working
- Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills
- Positive mindset and a can-do attitude
- Great team worker
- Proficient Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and social media
