The role

We are looking to hire a Global Account Manager to join our high-performing sales team in London and become an integral part of our Global Accounts Strategy.

This role will work alongside our regional accounts teams.

More about the role

Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit, a commercial mindset, and proven experience building successful client relationships? This role will be crucial in driving sales growth across our highest-value global accounts.

With prior experience generating new revenue from existing clients, you will be responsible for managing a book of strategic accounts, to develop and execute an account management plan that capitalises on the range of our products and services, as well as ensuring that WGSN's foresight capabilities are correctly positioned to meet and exceed the client's needs and expectations.

With the expectation of managing 5-7 of WGSN's highest value Global Accounts,. You will be responsible for identifying customer priorities, maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions and converting these into opportunities that will deepen commercial relationships. Through a combination of organic subscription growth, renewal of continuous services and strategic projects, you will drive additional revenues that will exceed annual targets and deliver value to our clients in a profitable way

This role will be responsible for owning the global commercial relationship and working with a team of regional account managers and a client success team. You will develop effective relationships between individuals and teams both internally and with clients, to provide best in class commercial partnerships.

The team

At WGSN we have high-performing sales teams made up of Key Account and Senior Account Managers, Business Development and Client Servicing specialists who work together to achieve outstanding results. You will be part of the newly formed global accounts team that works with senior clients from a wide range of industries to build strategic partnerships.

Our teams are diverse, tenacious, resilient, and extremely dedicated because they truly believe in the value WGSN services bring to our global clientele who operate in Fashion, Beauty, Interiors, Food & Drink and Consumer Tech. We never compromise on collaboration which allows us to have a strong team dynamic.

Key accountabilities

    • Working with the regional account management teams and sales leaders to deliver the 3 year growth plan for WGSN's Global Accounts, ensuring revenue targets are achieved.
    • Identify, explore and develop new business opportunities from an assigned book of 5-7 strategic growth accounts, successfully executing the renewal of the client contracts to maintain high renewal rates.
    • Be at the forefront of nurturing client relationships, demonstrating a growing understanding of their business and broader business issues and market trends.
    • Deliver winning commercial presentations & pitches to Exec and C-level stakeholders that describe WGSN's strategic value to their organisation.
    • Lead all aspects of the sales process, including but not exclusive to network building, client engagement strategies, services messaging, proposal development, and financial, legal and procurement negotiations.
    • Champion high strategic standards and excellent client servicing in combination with content, consulting and client success teams.
    • Ensure the customer is delighted with the WGSN experience.
    • Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly revenues with all pipelines tracked and updated on Salesforce. Provide regular updates on the status of global accounts, including achievements, challenges, and actionable recommendations.
    • Travel nationally and internationally to build growth through great client relationships, working across time zones with a diverse set of clients.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills across the global accounts team, being a positive influence on team members. Drive positive change and be fully driven by achieving success with the support of the wider WGSN team.

Skills, experience & qualifications required

    • Proven track record in strategic account management with experience in winning, retaining & growing large, high-value clients demonstrate advanced sales processes, techniques and methodologies.
    • Proactive and commercially focused, used to working in a matrix organisation and influencing teams to deliver against a business strategy and objectives.
    • Excellent communicator who can lead client presentations, effectively negotiate and influence outcomes that benefit both the client and WGSNA creative problem solver who works at pace and implements solutions that will grow their accounts.
    • A passion for trend and forecasting covering the following types of industries - fashion, beauty, retail, technology, design & innovation, food & drink.
