Global Karting League: UK Event Manager

Are you passionate about motorsports?

We are seeking an exceptional Event Manager to manage our well-established UK events, which will shape how our future global events will run as we scale our championships worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for putting high level requirements into a detailed plan for GKL: UK events as part of the event operations team.

• Plan all aspects of the events including, but not limited to:
  • Liaison with venues regarding booking requirements, timings and costs
  • Oversee all operational planning - hotels, travel arrangements, hire vehicles etc
  • Work in close collaboration with the technical group on event delivery
  • Overall management of the delivery of all events
  • Responsibility for providing costs within budget

• Be the responsible for customer experience at the event, dealing with customer requests or issues to deliver an exceptional service.

• Ideate, plan, and execute concepts that improve the customer experience, that can then be rolled out internationally.

You are:

• Happy to work in a team rather than in isolation, learning together and sharing information

• Process-orientated and capable of defining and training others

• Able to resolve issues in a calm and logical fashion

• Eager to solve problems and create new opportunities for the business

You have:

• Excellent communication skills and use these to effectively communicate with customers externally and colleagues internally

• Experience of working within the karting sector or motorsport sector. Ideally either for a venue or within a championship or series as an event organiser. This is preferable but not essential.

• Experience of using Microsoft 365 business apps such as Outlook, Word etc.

• Full driving licence and willingness to travel around the UK and work at weekends.

• Ability to write and speak in English fluently.

• Right to work in the UK.
