We are looking for an Associate GIS Manager at Carter Jonas who will lead the way in providing market leading Geospatial services to our clients. As part of the ongoing development of our capabilities, we are recruiting for a Land Referencing system manager to work as part of our Geospatial team in supporting the ongoing development and delivery of our Land referencing Systems.

We are looking for a dedicated GIS professional, experienced in using the latest GIS systems and technology to help clients understand the complexities of Land ownership, rights and access management across the full lifecycle of Land assembly projects.

Working with key stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide data management for all our Land referencing schemes, liaising with key stake holders across projects, to make sure the datasets are always up to date, supporting client update meetings and being the first port of call for all GIS applications used to manage and inform the Land referencing and assembly process.

You will be involved in growing this capability by identifying areas where GIS and data solutions can add further value to the land assembly processs whether that is streamlining data collection, driving efficiencies, or supporting clients in better visualising project data.

Main tasks:

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious GIS professional with excellent communication skills and technical ability, experienced in providing high quality data integrations, analysis and visualisation using the full Esri Enterprise GIS platform.
  • Create & manage GIS Applications and data services on Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and AGOL.
  • Develop data integrations between Land Referencing systems and GIS web applications.
  • Liaise with Internal and external stakeholders to make sure all data layers in the Land referencing GIS applications are accurate, concurrent, and consistent.
  • Programme manage all mapping requirements, coordinating with the Mapping team production manager.
  • Identify requirements and develop enhancements to the existing use of GIS and data services for Land assembly projects e.g. Mobile application usage, FME applications, 3D data sets or Web applications.

What will it take to be successful?

We are seeking candidates with a blend of technical expertise and professional experience, particularly in Esri Enterpise GIS. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise/AGOL, and Mobile platforms including Survey123 and Esri Field Maps is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the land referencing and/or land assembly processes and how GIS interfaces with them.

Expertise in utilising both spatial and non-spatial data, along with adept management and integration strategies within an enterprise setting using GIS and Office Applications, is paramount. Experience in developing FME workflows and integrations to facilitate the import and export of land referencing/CAD datasets into/out of GIS would greatly enhance the role.

Demonstrated proficiency in creating Esri mobile and web applications using Web App Builder/Experience Builder and Esri Field Worker applications, including familiarity with Arcade, HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript, is highly desirable.

This position is ideal for individuals who are self-starters capable of generating innovative solutions to challenges, while also collaborating effectively within a team to support the development of others' ideas. Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to land referencing and GIS data management would be advantageous.
