About The Role
Role: Training and Development Manager Location: Chorley Leisure Sites Contract: Full time (40 hours per week) / Permanent
Salary: £37,996 - £41,137
Closing Date: 21 September 2025
We are seeking a dynamic, driven and passionate individual to be our Training and Development Manager, joining the management team at Chorley Leisure. An integral part of the management team, the role is challenging, varied, and rewarding and represents an opportunity to make a significant impact on the levels of safety, service and standards delivered across the four Chorley Leisure venues.

What you'll be getting up to
- Contributing to the creation and development of company polies, procedures and working practices
- Creating and implementing induction and training programs for a variety of roles within the company
- Planning the delivery of ongoing staff training, including lifeguarding standards, first aid and emergency action procedures
- Delivery of official training courses such as National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and First Aid at Work to both internal and external candidates
- Working closely within not just the management team but also the wider leisure team, building relationships and creating an engaging learning environment for all
Who we're looking for
- You will have excellent knowledge of health and safety within the workplace
- You will be exceptionally organised, capable of managing a varied workload
- We're looking for a confident and engaging individual, capable of delivering training courses to both colleagues and external candidates
- You'll also hold the following certificates: NEBOSH Certificate, Pool Plant Operator Qualification, RLSS NPLQ and FAAW Trainer Assessor Qualification (Chorley Leisure are willing to support the right candidate in gaining the necessary qualifications listed, but candidates must have at least some formal training in one or more of the areas listed above).

- This role requires a valid UK Driving License.
- This role requires a DBS Check (applied and paid for by the Council)
