Corsham Westwells Road SN13 9NR. Some work may be undertaken at other MOD and Industry Partner locations in the United Kingdom. Opportunities for home working may be available. No travel and subsistence budget is available.

Job Summary

A specialist geo data manager is required to configure geographical information services and provide technical geospatial support to the C4ISR Programme in relation to all map dependent applications. This includes all activities required to transition to a cloud like hosting environment.

Responsibilities & Duties

The OEHE project was initiated by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in response to their requirement for a secret fixed application hosting environment. The OEHE addressed this gap by providing the MOD with a capability to host several applications concurrently across multiple operations and caveats whilst also providing the MOD with the ability to on-board new applications when required.

Due to the complicated nature of the applications specific mapping configuration within the OEHE environment, the project requires a technical specialist with a detailed understanding of geographical data sets and their configuration in accordance with various industry standards to support a range of different applications.

Essential Skills
• Provide evidence of at least 4 years expertise in managing and configuring ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise products and Geospatial datasets/services provided by military SGCs. (Weighting %: 25%)
• Confirmation of Knowledge plus example of materials issued by DGC and other Specialist Geospatial Centres and the expected file structure for Geospatial data. (Weighting %age: 25%)
• Demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with REST WMS services. (Weighting %age:25%)
• Demonstrate competency with legacy ArcGIS Desktop products (ArcMap and ArcCatalog) along with knowledge of their replacement software (ArcGIS Pro). (Weighting %age: 25%)

Nice to have Skills
• Demonstrate your experience of working with industry partners (Weighting %age: 50%).
• Demonstrate an understanding of some of the various requirements for hosting applications that have a Geo Element (Weighting %age: 50%)

Background Check Required

Developed Vetting (DV). Should be valid during the span of the project period.

• Day Rate: Maximum £ 600.00/Day plus VAT all-inclusive basis.

• Consultant must have his/her own computing device, internet connection, & relevant S/W i.e., windows10 etc. while working for assignment either from home or sometimes from our customer's office.
