Job Title: Generalist IT Engineer
This is a fixed term contract to the end of 2027
Location: Frimley, London, Gloucester.
Due to the nature of this role, whilst we can offer a hybrid working environment, there will be a requirement to work on-site, and travel between sites as necessary.
What you’ll be doing:
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of systems and technologies, primarily but not exclusively, applying cyber security improvements to meet InfoSec priorities.
Tasks could include: operating system configuration; security software installation and configuration; Cloud technology deployment and configuration (IaaS, Paas, Saas) and hardware configuration.
The successful candidate will be supported by a team of experienced engineers and will also be expected to work independently at times.
Your skills and experiences:
3-5 years experienced in:
- Widows Server
- COTS (e.g. security tools including AV, End Point Protection, etc)
- Cloud technologies (primarily Azure)
- Hardware and software networking & storage
- Linux (preferred)
- Virtualisation (preferred)
Quick familiarisation with a range of diverse systems
Good stakeholder collaboration and communication skills
Independent working & problem solving
Knowledge transfer to system owners
