Job Description

We're looking for apassionate, customer focusedGeneral Manager, with previous casino management experience and a current Personal Management Licence (PML) to lead our Grosvenor Casino Cardiff. You will provide leadership and direction to the whole team, inspiring belief in the company vision and creating amazing experiences for our customers.

  • Our General Managers must have a strong commercial acumen; our competitors aren't just other Gaming businesses; they're hospitality venues, retailers and local businesses. We have to stand out both as an employer and destination of choice. You need to keep on the competition, understanding what they're doing, whether that be in a busy city-centre location or by the sea.
  • You need to be an innovator; our Venues are more than just gaming; they're where our customers come to be entertained, whether that be for a great dining experience, drinks with friends or seeing some entertainment. Whilst lots of what you do is driven by the business, you'll also have the opportunity to be creative in your Venue. If you see an opportunity, go for it. We're experts in Gaming but we're looking for people who understand the hospitality industry and what it takes to deliver a great customer experience. We want to learn from you as well!
  • Our business is evolving; you'll need to be able to embrace change; sometimes quickly.
  • You'll need to understand the intricacies of running a Gaming Venue; we're proud to say that we 'do' Safer Gambling well and want all of our team to be the face of getting this right.
  • Finally, we need strong communicators who are able to identify areas for improvement; if you think we need to be doing something differently, we want to know. If you spot something that needs changing, tell us.

Qualifications

  • Previous operational leadership experience in the casino industry
  • Current Personal Management Licence (PML)
  • Experience of managing change and building a positive culture
  • Previous experience of managinga customer orientated business to a wide range of customers including VIPs and regular visitors
