Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Senior Sales Executive to join our client's dynamic team within the commercial workplace design & build sector. This hybrid role is pivotal in driving new business development, managing and growing existing accounts, and forging relationships within the Architecture & Design (A&D) community. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in furniture sales, a deep understanding of the commercial workspace market, and the ability to balance strategic account management with proactive sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Account Management
End-User Accounts:

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the end-user market.
  • Develop and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers (facilities managers, procurement teams, and business leaders).
  • Maintain and grow revenue streams from existing clients through exceptional service and up-selling opportunities.

2. A&D Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, and design firms to promote the company's furniture solutions.
  • Host and attend A&D events, product launches, and industry networking sessions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Provide technical and aesthetic advice to A&D partners to align with project specifications and goals.

3. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify trends in the commercial workplace market and position the company's offerings to meet client needs effectively.
  • Create and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations tailored to client requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales with a focus on long-term client satisfaction.

4. Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including project managers, designers, and supply chain, to deliver seamless project execution.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior management.
  • Stay updated on product developments, market trends, and competitor activities.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

  • Proven track record in furniture sales, preferably within the commercial workplace design & build sector.
  • Strong experience managing and developing end-user accounts with measurable success.
  • Familiarity with the A&D sales process and experience engaging with architects and designers.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of workplace trends, ergonomic solutions, and sustainable furniture options.
  • Established network within the commercial workplace and A&D sectors.
  • Experience in hybrid sales roles balancing direct client management and design community outreach.
