A growing commercial interiors specialist is seeking a Mid-Weight Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of key commercial duties across CAT A, CAT B, and bespoke fit-out projects. This role is ideal for someone who has built a strong foundation in quantity surveying - ideally within a consultancy environment - and is now ready to step into greater responsibility while still receiving support from senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial management of multiple fit-out projects from tender through to final account.
- Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities, valuations, variations, and procurement schedules.
- Lead procurement for allocated packages, negotiating competitive rates and ensuring robust subcontractor selection.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cashflow, providing accurate commercial updates to senior management.
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Designers, and site teams to maintain alignment on scope, programme, and budget.
- Review drawings, specifications, and design changes, identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering.
- Maintain clear, organised commercial documentation in line with company processes.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
Experience & Skills
- 3+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial fit-out or refurbishment.
- Consultancy background preferred, with exposure to structured cost planning and client-facing work.
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of CAT A/CAT B delivery, procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Confident managing your own packages while supporting senior QSs on larger schemes.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings, technical details, and contractual information.
- Working toward RICS/APC is beneficial but not essential.
What's on Offer
- A clear pathway to Senior QS level with hands-on support and development.
- Exposure to design-led, fast-paced projects with real autonomy.
- A collaborative, forward-thinking team culture.
- Competitive salary package aligned with experience.
