Freelance Site Manager - Office D&B Projects (Secure Government Sites)

We're partnering with a leading office Design & Build contractor to deliver three high-spec commercial fit-out projects across Hampshire, each valued at circa £4 million. These are fast-paced, detail-driven schemes with a critical emphasis on security and compliance.

Requirements

• Must have demonstrable experience managing secure government or MOD projects
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certified
• Proven track record delivering Cat A & B fit-outs for secure buildings from concept to completion
• Strong understanding of D&B methodology, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
• Able to manage site logistics, H&S, programme, and client interface with minimal oversight

The Projects:

• 3 concurrent office fit-outs across Hampshire (secure government buildings)
• Each project approx. £4M in value
• Mix of Cat A and Cat B scope, including M&E, partitions, ceilings, and bespoke joinery
• Live environments with strict access protocols and security clearance requirements

The Role:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring programme, quality, and safety targets are met
• Coordinate trades, manage site documentation, and liaise with PM and client teams
• Enforce security protocols and ensure compliance with government site regulations
• Report progress, flag risks, and drive solutions on the ground
