Fraud Investigator

Fraud Investigator-Part time 
Northampton
Salary - £30,000 per annum based on full time hours 
Rotating Shifts –20 hours per week minimum, varying shift patterns between 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday, weekend working required, 1-2 days per week in the office 

As a Barclays Fraud Investigator, you will use your life experience, values and transferrable skills to investigate fraud cases and review suspicious activity within customer accounts. You’ll work within a fast paced, inclusive team to review data from multiple sources and make decisions based on your investigations. This role is open to candidates who are looking for part time work and are able to work weekends and evenings. You’ll work a Thursday in our Northampton office to ensure you are connected to the wider team.

What will you be doing?
•    Using life skills and experience to mitigate and investigate fraud cases from internal account holder whilst ensuring Barclays values are maintained 
•    Reviewing different forms of data to make fast decisions on cases in a timely manner
•    Communicating clearly with other business areas as required to ensure great business outcomes
•    Communicating effectively with stakeholders across the business to find solutions that can help with difficult situations when needed
•    Working within a diverse team to cope effectively with environments, remaining calm under pressure, and handling challenging situations independently
•    Reviewing complex and sensitive customer financial information (e.g., the, Legal; Credit Risk; Controls; Financial Crime & Fraud Strategy) to guide case investigations 
•    Ensuring vulnerable customers are determined and supported appropriately; handling sensitive issues and messages efficiently to best help our teams
•    Adopting a values-based approach when dealing with customers

What we’re looking for:
•    Ability to think quickly in an ever-changing environment
•    Previous transferrable skills that would enable you to identify cases of fraudulent activity 
•    Excellent attention to detail in order to spot suspicious account data
•    Past life experience, values and mindset to carry the cognitive skills to think on your feet
 

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Experience working within a case investigation role
•    Ability to review high levels of data to draw a collective outcome
•    Past experience of working within financial services
 

Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
