Amazon is seeking an Editor to oversee the editorial content strategy for About Amazon's France site (https://www.aboutamazon.fr/). As part of the Amazon News team, you will help make About Amazon the primary and most trusted source of information about Amazon for external audiences. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and packaging original stories about the company, encompassing both news and evergreen content.

Working from either our London or Paris office, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders on the France communications team and across the organization to frame and optimize Amazon news stories. This role requires professional proficiency in both French and English.

The ideal candidate brings digital journalism or storytelling expertise, with strong news judgment, and innovative content ideas. You will ideate with multiple teams, assign and generate original stories about Amazon across diverse topics, using a combination of audience data and editorial judgment. Your understanding of data-driven digital journalism and SEO principles will be crucial in guiding editorial content strategy.

You will partner with PR stakeholders to understand specific objectives, audiences, and messaging requirements for each content piece, using these insights to develop effective content strategies and expand story reach. While this is an individual contributor role, you will manage and edit work from freelance/contract writers.

Key job responsibilities
• Strategy: Collaborate with Executive Editor EMEA to develop and implement the Amazon News editorial strategy for France, aligning with global direction while ensuring regional relevance. Create and execute data-driven and SEO-optimized content strategies to maximize impact.
• Content: Lead editorial content development for key storytelling and news moments for About Amazon FR through collaboration with communications teams. Create, edit, and produce stories in French for the About Amazon France site, ensuring high editorial standards and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Analytics & Performance: Partner with leadership to establish content goals and implement comprehensive measurement frameworks. Utilize data insights from organic traffic, SEO performance, recirculation rates, and other metrics to make data-informed strategic adjustments for content optimization.
• Partnership: Serve as content strategy partner to PR teams, providing guidance throughout the content lifecycle from planning to execution and analysis. Build and maintain productive relationships across teams to ensure alignment and successful content delivery.
• Experimenting & Scaling: Drive innovation through testing new story formats and content approaches. Develop and document best practices, create efficient playbooks and toolkits to standardize processes and scale successful content initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience in marketing or marketing research

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
