Frameworks Management Team (FMT) Manager (L3 Assistant Director)

The opportunity
We are looking for a Frameworks Management Team (FMT) Manager, to lead the operations and service delivery provided to EY Service Lines (SLs) and Sectors. The FMT provides new business opportunity support and framework reporting and compliance expertise, primarily for Government and Public Sector (GPS) clients, across all SLs.

The FMT is integral to the UK business as it provides access to over 60 GPS frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPSs) and manages more than 400 UK Government procurement portals. The FMT is aligned to UK&I Markets Strategy Execution & Operations (MSEOps). The successful candidate will report into the Head of Markets Frameworks and will provide leadership and support to the team based in the EY Birmingham office.

Candidates will require a UK Government security clearance (minimum BPSS level) to perform this role, so must be willing to go through the required process.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the FMT and manage operations for the team including all HR life-cycle activities for each team member
  • Provide leadership, guidance, support and line management of the day-to-day work of the FMT, working in close collaboration with the FMT Supervising Associate
  • Develop open, honest and supportive long-term relationships with all FMT members by building trust, investing regular time and commitment and demonstrating flexibility of style to engage effectively
  • Provide line management support, on the job coaching and learning and regular feedback and formal LEAD feedback to FMT members
  • Ensure that all FMT activities are delivered to the appropriate quality standards and meet all Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including tender and portal management, bid support and portal uploads, and framework reporting, compliance and guidance
  • Identify, plan, drive and deliver initiatives to improve FMT services, including implementing new technologies to support the team and the business
  • Work closely with the Head of Markets Frameworks, including on FMT performance against SLAs, on key framework compliance activities (such as annual internal audit and external CCS audits) and on key transformation and process improvement projects
  • Understand all GPS framework reporting, compliance and audit processes to ensure EY delivers all mandatory external Monthly management information and meets the framework and DPS compliance requirements
  • Collaborate effectively with Counsellors of FMT members to encourage higher performance and career progression, to manage and address any absence or performance issues and to provide appropriate input to LEAD CCG meetings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Partners and senior members of Sector and SL teams where you will be leading and driving best practice in new business and framework management and compliance

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Management and leadership experience and skills are essential to ensure the FMT delivers high-quality, high-volume activities within SLAs
  • A "can do" attitude and the drive and enthusiasm to motivate others
  • Strong team working skills with confidence in communicating and the ability to influence people at all levels
  • Ability, as the internal and external point of contact relating to GPS tender opportunities and compliance, to manage and resolve complex queries and escalations
  • Experience of working with large amounts of data (mailbox, tender and framework revenues) and using analytics to understand and visualise data to achieve desired outcomes, including generating insights and presenting reports to stakeholder groups
  • Change and project management experience and excellent Microsoft skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI)

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Knowledge of GPS new business tender processes and procurement portals
  • Knowledge and experience of reporting and compliance activities for GPS frameworks and DPSs
  • Experience of hybrid working (office, remotely, virtually and independently) in a role of responsibility whilst driving team performance
  • Experience in professional services environment
