As part of our growth we are looking for a FP&A manager who will be responsible for the Group FP&A activities, helping to continually improve financial performance and decision-making through reporting, analysis and planning. This highly commercial position will require you to work closely with all departments across the business. You will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture focused on data-driven decision-making, continuously striving to optimise processes and provide actionable insights that drive profitability and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes including preparation of templates & development of financial models.
• Guide business units in assessing the financial implications of strategic initiatives and operational changes ensuring they operate within budget and maximise efficiency.
• Develop strong cross-functional working relationships with business leaders to provide tailored finance support to each team.
• Understand the drivers of business performance, areas of opportunity or remedial actions and influence the implementation of initiatives to address these.
• Provide clear and actionable insights, high quality and timely advice, information, analysis, reporting and interpretation to support effective decision making and performance management.
• Define and track KPIs that align with strategic goals including variance & trend analysis.
• Reconcile and validate a variety of data sets and information that inform business decisions to ensure credibility of data.
• Take ownership of the commentary for board and management reporting, ensuring it is of the highest quality.
• Drive process improvement opportunities and system development initiatives.
• Perform other Ad hoc analysis as required.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team (2 direct reports).

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• ACA or ACCA Qualified with at least 2-3 years of experience in a FP&A role
• Advanced Excel Skills & excellent financial modelling skills
• A strong commercial acumen and excellent ability to make informed decisions
• Ability to think laterally and solve problems using own initiative and challenge the status quo where necessary.
• Ability to react positively to change, operate at pace and deliver results in a fast-moving environment
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident communication skills, verbal and written
• Ambitious and self-motivated
