Responsibilities

This Senior Manager works with attorneys, forensic accountants, clients, and other investigators to produce analyses in support of an investigation. They will act as a point for information gathering and clearing in support of digital forensic inquiries, eDiscovery, Cyber insurance and investigations to automate data collections for investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, standardize, and analyze voluminous transactional electronic data and will provide file system analysis using proven forensic methodology
  • Perform digital forensic acquisitions, electronic evidence collections and forensic analysis
  • Prepare and maintain case files and write reports with attention to detail and completeness
  • Follow strict data and evidence handling procedures
  • Work with other analysts in technical examinations, analyzing and reporting on computer-based evidence
  • Produce high quality written work product, presenting complex technical matters clearly and concisely
  • Assist the response incident response process as the escalation point for matters requiring forensics support
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • To undertake various forensic technology and eDiscovery assignments as assigned by the Principal(s), as well as undertaking general tasks and client work for the wider department
  • Client liaison and assistance
  • Cyber claims review to include peer review of forensic reports, expertise of understanding costs associated with the attacks, restoration costs and strategies, etc.
  • Develop forensic technology services which includes being part of strategic planning, business development strategies and management of team
  • Work with wider Baker Tilly other departments on integrating services and enhancing overall offering

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in computer forensics including disk imaging, collection and eDiscovery practices preferred
  • Willing to travel internationally work with multiple BTVK Advisory/Baker Tilly offices
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT networking / applications environments, computer investigative, forensic analysis or computer incident response team - some experience with cyber insurance would be desirable
  • Additional certifications from the following: GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE), EnCE
  • Solid understanding of forensics preservation, chain of custody procedures, evidence-handling, and forensics lab best practices
  • Extensive working knowledge of Windows, Unix and Mac operating systems / file systems
  • Experience with cloud technology, migration plans and a firm understanding of related applications
  • Demonstrated skills in digital investigations including computer forensics, network forensics, malware analysis and memory analysis
  • Experience with programming languages such as Pearl, Python, Java, Java script, C++, ASP, .NET, Unix/Linux and Splunk highly desirable
