Warwickshire Police have an exciting opportunity, based in its Protective Services directorate, for a Forensic Quality Manager.
This role will lead and manage quality, compliance and accreditation requirements across several Forensic Science Activities (FSAs), working closely with technical managers and practitioners. The successful candidate will have responsibility to develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) within forensic investigations and the broader force, to comply with the Forensic Science Regulator's (FSR) requirements and EU legislation. The role will involve regular contact with quality and compliance colleagues in West Midlands Police (Warwickshire Police's forensics service provider), United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) representatives and the Office of the FSR. The successful candidate will advise the Protective Services senior management team on quality and compliance requirements, managing performance and delivering continuous improvement across relevant FSAs.
We are interested in applications from innovative and enthusiastic individuals who are educated to degree level or able to demonstrate commensurate operational experience in the field of quality and compliance. You will have significant experience in working with International Standards (ISO), preferably ISO 17020 and ISO 17025, and UKAS contract management. You will be well accustomed and confident in the specification, operation and management of quality control/assurance systems, with experience of working in a forensic environment at a supervisory level. As an accomplished leader with a proven track record for delivery, your role and contribution will be pivotal in the force's commitment to achieving excellence in this area.
