We're home to the most important conversations happening today and we're making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here's where you can help decide a better future for us all.
What You'll Be Doing
As the FM Commercial Service Manager you will be operationally and commercially responsible for overseeing projects across Schools, Children's Centres, and selected corporate properties. Your expertise will be essential in managing the in-house team of engineers and apprentices, alongside external contractors, while integrating the Helpdesk CIVICA system with the Council's Oracle financial system. You will deliver planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance, ensuring customer satisfaction while controlling costs. Managing a £2 million in-house traded service, you will seek opportunities for service expansion and improvement in collaboration with schools and council services. Your ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders will support the wider property management strategy, while your leadership will ensure your team is skilled and motivated to meet current and future demands. Additionally, you will oversee operational costs, play a key role in procuring specialist M&E contracts, and contribute to the transition planning for Camden's PFI schools back to the Local Authority.
