National based role working from your local RM centre with travel required

To help drive this change, we are recruiting for a Fleet Programme Manager who can deliver our Electric Vehicle Transformation Project, as well as leading on other projects and programmes within our Fleet Function.

About the role

You will be responsible for the delivery of projects and programmes within the Royal Mail Fleet Function, being accountable to ensure all projects are delivered within set timescales and budgets.

You will lead our Fleet Transformation to net zero, engaging with a range of stakeholders across the business. You will also engage with Fleet Teams and SMEs to ensure deployment plans are followed and delivered. Creating strong relationships with a range of stakeholders is vital, and you must be comfortable working with Senior Stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the Head of Fleet Transformation and Integration, you will be tasked with ensuring all risks and issues are identified for programmes and projects. As such, you will ensure the smooth running of projects through to completion.

To truly excel in this role you will be able to evidence the following skills, experiences, and qualifications:

Skills:
• Extensive knowledge and track record of integrating and delivering complex change programmes to time, cost, quality and benefit
• Ability to deliver results through people
• Delivery of targets and solutions in a cost-effective way, using all available resources
• Excellent influencing and communication skills, comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders up to Senior Management
• Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills
• Resilience and agility to drive performance improvement

Experience:
• Direct experience of programme, Portfolio and Project Management disciplines
• Proven experience of working in teams/virtual teams in dynamic environments
• Relevant industry experience and proven track record within the fleet operating industry
• Relevant knowledge and experience relating to alternative fuelled vehicles, vehicle maintenance and repair operations

Qualifications:
• Recognised industry programme and/or project qualification (desirable)
• Membership of a recognised industry institute (desirable)
