Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday. Rotational shifts (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
- To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
- Develop strong relationships with key operational contacts
- Implement, monitor & control Health & Safety action plan for the Operation ensuring in line with site plan
- Objectively assesses team members, grows team member skills and helps people achieve their full potential
- To lead the work activities of the site providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development and team management for the workforce
- To track and trace orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level
- Ensure operational service levels are met and exceeded through the achievement of operational KPI's
- People Management and Team Leadership in line with the defined business values
- Work in collaboration with other departments and DHL sites to maximise efficiencies and best practice
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

- Previous and practical experience as a First Line Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment is essential
- Previous experience of managed a team of colleagues, conducting performance reviews, training and upskilling and managing expectations
- Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
- Knowledge of Blue Yonder would be desirable
- Great communications skills, able to communication across all levels
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
- Ability to work within a multi-user/multi-customer environment
A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
