Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 out of 7 days , 2 week rotational rota (2 weeks of AM and 2 weeks of PM)
Location: Sainsburys, Daventry, CV23 8BQ

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a First line manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Effective team management including planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet operational requirement
• To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
• To assist with the new automation transfortmation on site bypreparingthe team with training and on going support with the new systems in place.
• Work in collaboration with other departments and DHL sites to maximise efficiencies and best practice

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous and practical experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a large logistics environment
• Experience of Automation systems is desirable
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
• Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports

A recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received.
