Client facing Senior Manager role in the Corporate Services Transformation team. This team covers finance, HR and procurement capabilities and functional skills required include:

  • Back office transformation experience, including but not limited to "powered" implementations;
  • Business case development, preferably but not necessarily green book compliant;
  • Shared services, operating model design and implementation experience;
  • Planning, budgeting, forecasting and modelling skills;
  • Project management;
  • Innovation in commercial approaches;
  • Process and management information re-design experience,
  • Engagement management experience; and
  • A broad understanding of technology enabled transformation, and our approach."

Work may well be delivered nationally, based on a broad spectrum of public sector clients - currently, most work is being delivered remotely

Public sector experience to date would be good, but is not necessarily a requirement for any candidate interested in joining the team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of client CST engagements, including all client facing responsibilities day to day and leading teams;
  • Inputting as an SME into wider CST and IGH engagements where required;
  • Ownership and delivery of quality, efficient and profitable engagements;
  • Lead business development effort for a particular capability within CST, or for a group of clients;
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships externally and internally
  • Deliver compelling engagement proposals which result in winning engagements.
  • Contributing to practice and risk management, including thought leadership and business development activities
  • Motivate and generate commitment from team members.
  • Demonstrate continuous self and team development.
  • Share knowledge with the team.

Key Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Experience of leading back office transformation, and demonstrating the skills documented in the job description above, including but not limited to, finance transformation, people and change management, organisational transformation, operating model design and implementation and shared services design and implementation;
  • Experience of leading smaller engagements but also working on strategically important, and high value engagements, including those with fees in excess of £500k.
  • Experience working with Deputy Director and above equivalents in the public sector, or C-Suite executives in the private sector
  • Experience of leading teams and project management;
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring junior colleagues with demonstrable improvement in their performance;
  • Advanced Analytical ability and attention to detail;
  • Problem solving skills
  • A cross service line network to facilitate and deliver the breadth of the firm into client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal""

Desirable, but not required skills

  • Awareness of public sector requirements (e.g. Green Book business cases, capital and resource funding)
  • Awareness of intelligent automation and its potential applications
  • Awareness of business intelligence tools
  • A formal qualification in your capability, ie a chartered accountant in finance
