Finance (System) manager

• ERP Implementation (Initial Focus)
• Lead the financial setup and configuration of Rootstock ERP on the Salesforce platform, ensuring it aligns with our accounting and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and operations teams to define and map financial processes within the ERP system, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Support data migration, cleansing, and validation activities to ensure accurate and reliable financial data in the ERP.
• Conduct testing and troubleshoot issues during deployment, providing detailed feedback to resolve any configuration or integration challenges.
• Provide training and support to finance and relevant teams, ensuring smooth adoption and understanding of ERP functionality.
• Ongoing Finance and Accounting Responsibilities (Post-ERP Deployment)
• Manage daily financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end and year-end closings, and financial statement preparation.
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures, leveraging ERP capabilities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights based on ERP data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into business performance.
• Serve as the primary finance point of contact for ERP-related questions, enhancements, and updates as the business scales.

• Qualified Accountant: Fully qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in finance and accounting, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.

This role is initially a 6 month contract with a possiblity to extend within an exciting renewable energy business!
