We are looking for an Accounting & Finance Consultant to join our Accounting Projects team. You will work directly with our Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Customs teams to make sure we are embracing new technology and staying efficient
Your main task to start with will be helping us move our financial data from SAP FI to SAP S/4HANA. You need to understand how financial data flows through a business. Since this is a technical role, you must have practical experience with SAP and have extensive understanding of accounting.

What you'll do
- Collaborate in the transition to S4 HANA while also managing day-to-day operations of the existing SAP system.
- Serve as the SAP Key User, responsible for managing system configuration and ensuring timely implementation of system updates.
- Proactively identify and implement technical improvements outside of SAP to optimize processes across the various finance and accounting teams.
- Find ways to automate repetitive tasks and increase efficiency across the teams
- Reconcile accounts during the migration to ensure every transaction is moved correctly from the old system to the new one.
- Clean up old data before it is moved and check balances during the transition to keep our records ready for audit.
- Develop a deep understanding of how our current financial systems interact with wider business applications.
- Act as one of the go-to people for the business as they learn to use the new S/4HANA software, including our invoice approval systems
- Create simple user guides and run training sessions to help colleagues use the new system effectively.
What you'll need
- Professional Accounting qualification/studying towards (ACCA or ACA) (desirable)
- Accounting experience essential
- Advanced, hands-on expertise in SAP FI and ideally SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, specifically regarding general ledger and financial reporting.
- Experience working on large IT projects where you were responsible for the accuracy of accounting data.
- Exceptional ability to translate technical IT language into clear business terms for accountants, and vice-versa.
- Good communications skills with the ability to convey information to all levels of the business
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to map out complex system architectures and data flows.
- Able to work well with everyone from customs specialists to IT managers.
- German language skills are advantageous
