  • £56,772 - £63,066 per annum (Band 11)
  • 37 hours per week

We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Financial Planning Team as a Financial Planning Manager.

Your role

You will be responsible for the operational management of the Financial Planning team and ensure the team delivers the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS), the production of the annual budgets, in year budget monitoring and the reporting of the year-end outturn position and supporting the production of the Statement of Accounts, all within accordance of statutory reporting requirements.

What you will need

You will have a proven track record in managing teams to deliver accounting services, proven experience in financial management and planning, and financial performance reporting, along with knowledge of accounting standards and their application to the preparation of the Statements of Accounts. To do this, you will need proven team management skills - supervising and directing others, allocating work and resources, reviewing performance and development needs, able to enthuse and motivate others.
