Purpose of the Role
Join the Finance team as a Finance Manager, where you'll lead a team of two and own the coordination of controlling purchasing overhead, investments and material cost. You'll play a pivotal role within the team, as you'll build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders across Purchasing to drive performance, in addition to providing finance guidance and support to the department.
Reporting into the Financial Controller - Purchase and Unit Cost your main responsibilities include;
- Providing and presenting financial data to management to support decision making
- Leadership of local planning, forecasting and budgeting processes to achieve business targets and timelines
- Providing expertise for business decisions, checking the quality of the data in any proposal and using knowledge of the impact on other areas of finance and the business highlighting any areas of conflict
- Proactively looking at areas to improve business performance, providing logical approach, modelled opportunities with reasoned argument and backup
- Reviewing, reporting, preparing and presenting the financial performance for Purchasing
- Carrying out frequent budget holder reviews, ensuring that the budget holder has full understanding of current and planned expenditure, risks and opportunities to budget
- Preparing and presenting audit information and analysis to both External Auditors and Internal Auditors
About the Team
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance function in this period of Automotive transformation as we release our new products-Bentley Hybrid Electric and Fully Electric vehicles! The role is - and will remain - of strategic importance as efficient and transparent control of the significant material cost budget is a key success factor in both our current model range and the new Bentley Electrification Projects.
About you - Skills and Experience
- Experience operating within ambiguous environments, building and establishing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to challenge and influence effectively
- Experience engaging with and presenting to stakeholders up to Board level
- Strong analytical skills and experience producing comprehensive analysis to support decision making, including identifying risks and opportunities
- Experience working in a commercial business, ideally within the Automotive industry
- SAP, PAL, Business Objects and Tableau experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office experience, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
- A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with 2+ years PQE experience in a finance role
