Salary: Grade 9-10 (£36,624-46,606)depending on experience and skills. Grade11 (£47,990-£53,446) available for an exceptional candidate.

Hours Full Time, 37 hours per week.

Start Date: July 2026 (flexible depending on the successful candidate)

Northfleet Technology College arelooking to appoint a Finance Manager who can manage resources with totaltransparency and precision, who will lead the school's financial operations, includingbudget setting and management, ensuring accurate financial reporting,compliance and forward financial planning. This includes managing accountspayable, accounts receivable, payroll processes, month-end reconciliation,audit preparation and financial forecasting. You will prepare and presentreports for governors, senior leaders and external auditors.

The role requires a combination oftechnical financial expertise and strategic insight. You will support leadersin setting budgets, analysing expenditure, preparing annual salary review, identifyingcost-saving opportunities and ensuring best value. You will also overseefinancial policies, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, managesoftware systems and supervise finance staff.

Thesuccessful candidate will be involved in the operation oversight of supportservices & bespoke projects, such as the new build and school premises.

You will work closely with allstakeholders and the school leadership team places a strong emphasis onfinancial sustainability, strategic planning and ensuring that resources areused effectively to support student outcomes and staff wellbeing.

The successful Finance Manager will leada small team and will report directly to the Headteacher. You will play a major role in ensuring thefinancial health of the school, a school that values precision, transparencyand accountability.
