Contract: 12 Months FTC

About the role

  • This is a broad role at the heart of The Boots Group's international growth plans. It covers the Central FP&A activities of the International Retail businesses and Business Partnering activities of the No7 Beauty Company's EMEA Asia Pacific business;
  • The organisation has several central functions focused on developing the international markets, focused on taking both pharmacy/ retail and product (in particular, No7 the UK's largest skincare brand) best practices from Boots UK and deploying these in our international territories;
  • The FP&A Manager is important to the analysis of our decisions across the division. You will ensure Divisional Executive are informed on Divisional performance and managing the approval of capital investment and significant business initiatives;
  • The Business Partner is there to support markets where we are looking to grow over the coming years, typically through market expansion or new product development;

Main responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Support the Divisional strategic process including strategy development and subsequent delivery of strategic programmes
  • Support Divisional our performance Management reporting process covering:
    • Weekly Forecast reporting;
    • Monthly Actual KPIs & Forecasting;
    • Annual Budgeting;
    • Strategic Planning (3YP) to ensure that divisional reporting is efficient and error free.
  • Ensure templates shared with markets are fit for purpose and error-free;
  • Develop tools, methodologies and best practices that can be implemented across the division (e.g. driver-based budgeting toolkits, standardised profitability analysis);

• Contribute to the development of financial capability across the division.

Business Partnering

  • Lead financial modelling for market expansion across No7 Beauty Company brands, collaborating with project teams and supporting on business cases (inc supporting financial approval of business cases);
  • Contribute to system and reporting improvements, utilising Management Information/ IT to automate and enhance reporting;
  • Guide a focus for growth and investment return within our markets.

What you'll need to have

  • A qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACA, ACCA);
  • Role requires a commercially minded and inquisitive person, keen to understand the drivers of our performance;
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels and across all operations and can write business reports;
  • We are looking for a Self-starter, motivated and ambitious, with the ability to build strong relationships and networks across the organisation;
  • You would have an interest or experience in using new technologies to solve business problems and work with teams across businesses/markets.

  • International & retail environment experience;
  • Experience of database creation and improving management information is also helpful.
