Job Description

The Details

  • On an ongoing basis, work with the tech teams, FP&A and the wider finance organisation to identify and deliver quick wins that enhance or refine our existing processes and unlock capacity for more extensive change programmes
  • Act as an SME in our key financial reporting and forecasting systems, driving increased proficiency and utilisation across the wider function - develop excitement and engagement over process change.
  • Lead the development of financial models within our new FP&A system; providing the tooling for the FP&A team and wider finance function to move away from Excel and build robust, accurate and highly efficient models that support effective decision making and business partnering.
  • Design and build dashboards and reports in PowerBI that reduce the need for manual reporting and provide self-service information points for leaders throughout the organisation.

Qualifications

About You

  • Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) or with significant experience in developing reporting and forecasting models to support finance functions with an in-depth appreciation of the need for high levels of accuracy, trust and process governance.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to effectively build productive relationships across finance and tech teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including using VBA and other automations to improve the efficiency of routine tasks.
  • Experience using a range of forecasting and planning solutions, ideally including TM1, Vena and Workday as well as ERP solutions including Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience with change and transformation programmes, with an appreciation and understanding of best-practices in managing change and supporting users through these processes.
  • Experience building reports, dashboards and ad-hoc queries/analysis within PowerBI and SQL.
