Job Description

Summary

We are looking for a Finance business partner for Sparks (our loyalty programme). This is a broad role with an exciting remit as we embark on an ambitious transformation of our Loyalty programme. You will own the business case for the new strategy, and provide strategic financial analysis and actionable insights to enable decision-making at ExCo level on investment choices. You will collaborate cross functionally with Clothing & Home and Food to assess specific initiatives, model potential benefits and build into P&L projections.

You will be; A highly capable business partner, adept at building great relationships with the business, and comfortable working in a matrix stakeholder model. A strong influencer, with natural curiosity, who can provide commercial challenge and become a trusted business partner & critical friend. Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, able to juggle multiple demands but prioritise effectively.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Strategy and Investment: financial analysis and insight to support our loyalty strategy, working collaboratively with the Strategy, Food and Clothing & Home teams
  • Budget and Forecast: Support delivery of reforecasts and long-term planning, including monthly R&Os, quarterly reforecasts, budget and 5 year strategic plans working cross-functionally to deliver each cycle.
  • Analysis and Reporting: responsible for programme performance decks, developing insightful analysis and metrics to assess performance across the Loyalty programme and driving a forward focus through actionable insights
  • Risk Management: horizon scanning for risks and opportunities across the Loyalty programme delivering actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Monthly Cadence: Co-ordination and management of month end processes, ensuring key stakeholders are aware of requirements and timelines. Meeting with key stakeholders on a monthly basis to provide overview of performance and work cross-functionally to give full oversight to Food and Clothing & Home. In-depth monthly review of Digital & Technology performance against the programme plan, highlighting risks and dependencies

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

  • Qualified accountant with several years PQE in a commercial environment
  • Experience of Technology Finance and or Loyalty would be preferable
  • Collaborative approach, with a natural style that builds credibility and a strong network
  • Commercial curiosity and a critical thinker with excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to influence and partner at senior and exec levels
