  • Salary: £29,036 actual per annum (£38,369 pro rata)
  • Hours: 28 hours per week

Suffolk Family Carers is looking for a Finance Manager who can steer our financial operations with confidence, clarity, and care. If you enjoy making processes smoother, supporting colleagues, and ensuring good financial decision-making, this role could be a great match.

What you'll be doing as a Finance Manager:

  • providing clear management accounts and financial reports
  • overseeing cashflow, reconciliations, and financial controls
  • working collaboratively with project managers and the wider organisation to understand how multiple projects interact to form the overall organisational picture
  • leading budgeting and reforecasting so teams can plan effectively
  • making sure our reporting meets charity and regulatory requirements
  • supporting staff with funding applications by providing accurate financial details
  • working with auditors and helping lead our Finance and Audit Committee meetings
  • looking for practical ways to improve how we use Xero, DEXT, ApprovalMax and other finance tools
  • offering guidance and support to our Finance Officer.

You will:

  • have a strong understanding of charity finance and SORP
  • have excellent attention to detail
  • have experience producing reliable financial management reports
  • have good working knowledge of Xero (or similar) and strong Excel skills
  • be confident communicating with colleagues who don't have a finance background
  • have a structured approach to managing deadlines and multiple tasks
  • hold an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • be someone whose values align with those of the organisation.
