As a Finance Manager, you'll have a keen eye for detail, and if you love giving insights that influence big decisions, then you'll feel right at home within the finance team. The primary objective of this role is to provide accurate, timely and insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for leading the day to day management accounting function for TKAT HQ, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Finance Manager to join our busy finance team at the heart of our Multi Academy Trust.
As our new Finance Manager, you'll play a vital role in shaping our financial future. You will lead the day to day management accounting function for TKAT HQ, providing the critical budgeting, forecasting and reporting that empowers our leaders to make informed, strategic decisions.
The Finance Manager will lead, drive and continue the great progress already made within this area of the trust, the key responsibilities include:
*Producing monthly management accounts for HQ, including other attributes of head-office,
such as the TKAT SCITT Programme and trust-wide capital spend, with variance analysis and
commentary for key stakeholders.
*Managing the annual budget-setting process for HQ, working closely with budget holders to develop robust and realistic budgets.
*Leading the monthly forecasting processes for HQ, including meetings with budget holders, to support long-term financial planning.
*Overseeing all day to day purchase ledger activity for HQ.
*Overseeing the month-end processes for HQ, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
The ideal Finance Manager will be someone who is:
* AAT, CIMA or ACCA qualified or equivalent practical experience.
* Data handling including numerical data.
* Experience of completing complex control account reconciliations
* Variance analysis and forecasting experience.
* Balance sheet reconciliations experience
* Strong Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel Skills (Google suite preferred)
* Experience of working in education (desirable but not essential).
