We are currently seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join our Finance team during an exciting period of growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Business Improvement, this role provides a unique opportunity to shape the financial future of a rapidly expanding company, working closely with leadership to influence key strategic decisions.
As Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, tracking performance, and preparing detailed financial statements. You will play a critical role in driving initiatives that directly impact the company's success and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage annual budgets and forecasts for the company.
- Prepare financial models and perform financial projections to support strategic initiatives.
- Business Partner with key stakeholders across the organisation to analyse financial data, identify areas for improvement, and provide insights to management.
- Oversee the month-end close-off process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Produce statutory accounts and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare and file all necessary tax returns and regulatory filings.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Serve as a key liaison with our parent company, providing support for all financial inquiries and ensuring strict adherence to all accounting policies.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Manage cash flow and treasury operations.
- Lead and coordinate all external and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage a finance team of 2 part-qualified employees.
- Lead and mentor finance professionals, who contribute to the following functions:
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Finance related customer service
- Payroll
- Accounting and reporting
- Taxation
- Business Partnering
- Managing the processes, procedures and policies related to the above functions, ensuring that they are
- effective, well-documented and compliant.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent working knowledge of Training Qualifications UK products, internal and external processes, and regulatory obligations
- Manage a department level risk register, escalating key risks to the Leadership team
Key Requirements
- Qualifications: Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA); English and Maths at a minimum of Level
- Experience: 1+ years post-qualified experience in a similar role, with prior staff management experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
