Finance Manager

This is a hybrid role working 3 days per week (City of London location) and 2days working from home.
Role Purpose:
Exercise financial oversight, month end management reporting and responding to senior management's queries, produce the Annual Report & Accounts, team management and project work.
Responsibilities:
- Management two junior members of the Financial Control team
- Month end accounting and production of monthly management accounts
- Responding to queries from senior management including the CEO and CFO
- Preparing quarterly Board reporting
- Assist with production of the Annual Report & Accounts
- Responsible for the management and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting review and production of accounting policies
- Ownership of month end close journals including the Effective Interest Rate (EIR) income postings
- Exercise financial oversight and review key financial controls
- Liaise with divisional Business Analysts regarding business updates, controls and management reporting
- Management of Bank Reconciliations
- Key contact for auditors during the annual audit
- Ongoing improvements in efficiency and automation
- Involvement in ad-hoc projects including system reviews, implementations and upgrades
- Provide support to the Head of Financial Control
- Provide support to the FP&A team for budgeting and forecasting
Skills and Experience sought:
- Qualified accountant with experience working in the Financial Services Industry preferred
- Good knowledge of UK financial reporting standards (FRS102)
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Highly organised and methodical with an ability to see tasks through to completion.
- Ability to prioritise a number of different tasks at once and manage the workload of others
- Attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
