Job title:Finance Manager

Position Reports to: UK and Ireland Finance Director

Location: London (hybrid)

Purpose of the Role:

The Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting the UK and Ireland Finance Director in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance with regulatory and Group requirements. They will drive process improvements which supports the financial health of the business and maintain a robust internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow) for both Global and UK headquarters.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to ensure accurate and strategic financial management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to Group reporting requirements and deadlines, maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Conduct all balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial records.
  • Audit Management: Oversee the year-end audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and smooth audit completion.
  • Tax and Regulatory Filings: Ensure timely submission of VAT returns, ONS submissions, P11Ds, PSA's, and other regulatory filings.
  • Payroll Oversight: Supervise the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Cash Flow and Cost Control: Assist in cash flow management, working capital optimization, and cost control efforts to enhance overall financial performance.
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and improve the accuracy of financial operations while maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Business Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial analysis and insights for new projects and business initiatives to support strategic growth.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with strong financial accounting experience, ideally in the media and marketing communications sectors.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience with accounting systems, ideally FFA or Salesforce.
  • A proactive and curious mindset to identifying opportunities for improvement with a track record of driving change and transformation in financial processes and/or systems.
