Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in the continued growth of HBNL. You will deliver accurate financial information, compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive efficient financial operations. The role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the company's success by implementing and enforcing appropriate processes and controls to support value-enhancing growth. In addition to the technical skillset, this role will require a positive, motivated and energised approach, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business.

What you will do:
• Own the month-end process, ensuring an efficient and accurate close
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial information including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT submissions; oversight of our annual corporation tax return
• Ownership of the fixed asset register and monthly adjustments
• Work with our external auditor and support the annual audit and preparation of financial statements
• Payment planning and management in line with our supplier terms and cashflow forecast
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, combining robust control with continuous improvement to improve efficiency

What you'll bring
• You'll be a qualified accountant with proven experience working in a traditional Finance role
• Strong excel and data manipulation skills; experience of using NetSuite and Smartview would be advantageous
• Experience of working in fast-paced environments; SME experience would be advantageous
• You'll be proactive, team-first and love solving problems to help support delivery across the business
