About the role We have grown at a fast pace over the years and we are highly acquisitive. We are now searching for a high-performing, innovative and results-oriented Finance Manager to join the finance team. The successful candidate will support the current Finance team in all aspects of accounting. As Finance Manager your responsibilities will include assisting with end-to-end finance operations, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.

The day to day

  • Responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities and providing timely and accurate information, including preparation of monthly management accounts for some entities including;
  • Revenue and Cost Analysis
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and taking responsibility for resolution of issues.
  • Preparing and posting all journals including payroll, accruals and prepayment schedules
  • Preparation and processing of inter-group recharges
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Registers
  • Monthly analytics explaining the financials, cost impacts, revenue impacts and working with FP&A on any variances to forecast
  • Liaising with team on the monthly and annual close process, including meeting all financial reporting deadlines
  • Weekly cashflow reporting
  • Preparation of VAT returns & filings for UK and US entities
  • Calculation of quarterly staff commission payments
  • Liaise, co-ordinate, support, explain and give information during audit process
  • Overseeing activities with external agencies where necessary such as banks, pension companies, tax authorities etc.
  • One direct report, two indirect reports responsible for AR and AP
  • Ad-hoc requests /projects including assisting with system improvements

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (with significant industry experience)
  • Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge with financial reporting, technical accounting and analytics
  • Understanding of financial control processes and procedures
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Responsible individual who takes ownership, makes recommendations and takes the lead on delivering efficiencies
  • Adaptable to a changing/fast paced working environment and comfortable with meeting tight deadlines
  • Good business acumen and an ability to work across boundaries and cultures
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer service.

Nice to Have

  • Netsuite experience
  • International Accounting in a multinational environment
  • Experience with accounting integration of acquisitions
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and change management activities.
