Job Title: Finance Business Partner – FCAS AP Digital

Salary: £61,110 + Depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing direction and assumptions to the FP&A Capability Centres and wider business to generate in year and longer-term forecasts for digital investments. Using the insights gained from in-year performance analysis, you will recommend updates to assumptions where necessary
- Development of business cases and investment propositions to support revenue expansion, margin growth and cash conversion. You will need to carefully consider the appropriate funding route and ensure the correct accounting treatment is followed.
- Reviewing performance of approved investments. You will be required to constructively challenge the business and make recommendations to course-correct, driving improvement from current position.
- Generating project narratives/story and slides required for customer, supplier and senior management reviews.
- Management of bid proposals, ensuring the required funding is secured, and associated activities such as currency and tax reviews as appropriate
- Support business with generation of pricing strategies, order book management and LCM compliance
- Review inputs for customer and supplier reviews, and support business or functional improvement programmes
Your skills and experiences:
- Accounting and Financial Expertise – Qualified Accountant with experience in financial planning, forecasting, and applying appropriate accounting treatments
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking – Ability to analyze performance, update assumptions, and recommend improvements to optimize investments and business outcomes
- Business Case Development – Proficiency in creating investment propositions, evaluating funding routes, and driving revenue, margin, and cash flow improvements
- Performance Review and Improvement – Skills in assessing approved investments, constructively challenging assumptions, and implementing corrective actions to achieve targets
- Effective Communication and Stakeholder Engagement – Expertise in developing clear project narratives, presentations, and reports for senior management, customers, and suppliers
- Bid Management and Pricing Strategy – Experience in managing bid proposals, securing funding, and supporting pricing strategies while ensuring compliance with processes

The Finance Business Partnering – FCAS Team:
Working within the Finance Business Partnering – FCAS team, you’ll drive the financial strategy behind critical digital investments that power the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme and the 2035 vision. In a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, you’ll ensure strong capital planning, develop business cases, and optimize the performance of key investments.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner, the Project Accounting Capability Centre, and cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities to deliver value and support a major growth area of the business.
