We're hiring for a Finance Business Partner to join our Global Functions team as part of Dentsu in London, partnering our Finance function.
The Global Functions Finance and Procurement teams support our Corporate Functions, Technology and Transformation Programmes as we transform our business supporting functions through a combination of platforms, process, and people. The positions will report to the Global Functions Finance Director and interact with our Regional Finance teams.
Purpose of the Role
As Finance Business Partner you'll be responsible for supporting the budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis of our Corporate Functions, both centrally and across all of our regions/markets. As part of this role, you'll work alongside the management reporting team, both onshore and offshore.
You'll provide support that all investments are correctly accounted for and closely monitored throughout the project life cycle, including implementation and execution of local governance and project control systems. You'll provide financial business partnering and decision support to the Functional Leaders to ensure their strategic and operational financial goals are delivered. This will include Project accounting, forecasting and budgeting for department spend, commercial management of contracts, and financial analysis & modelling for the Functions initiatives including target operating models and continuous improvement and benefits realisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the Finance Directors to support the future direction of the business function to identify financial and commercial risks and potential mitigations, preparing reports to highlight key financial developments and communicate these with Finance Directors, Global Functions CFO and Global Functional Leaders.
- Construction and presentation of monthly budget/forecasts by project and cost centres for current and future years.
- Analysis of functional budgets and forecasts, providing interpretation, insight and guidance and challenge through financial analysis to enable business partners to make key decisions and achieve targets
- Support the review of business cases at key intervals of the programmes. This should include detailed reviews of actual spend as well as forecast costs to complete.
- Completion of month end and subsequent delivery of high-quality monthly management accounts and reporting, including headcount reporting, variance analysis and appropriate commentary
- Working with the Procurement team to manage project contracts ensuring adherence to terms, compliance on key financial clauses and negotiation of new contract spend.
Qualifications + Skills
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc) with 2 years PQE
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and project cost control is preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven capability to communicate financial performance to senior stakeholders
- Clear record of being curious, robust and shrewd, driving improved financial performance within a business
- Strong communication, influencing, collaboration and relationship building skills, able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines with a strong ability to self-manage
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Use of D365 and SAP BPC and SAC is an advantage.
