The Role

As a result of Inzpire's continued success, Inzpire are seeking to appoint a Finance Bid Manager to join our amazing team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced finance professional that will be able to cost, price and bid on complex UK and International contracts. You will be comfortable working in a challenging rapidly changing environment whilst applying professional knowledge and guidance. Working with key stakeholders of the business, you will be able to demonstrate your excellent communication skills.

In addition, you will be a trusted business partner who will work closely with designated areas of the business, providing clear knowledge and financial guidance whilst managing various types of Commercial bids.

This is a hybrid role, with your principal place of work being your home address; however, you will be expected to travel to the Company offices in Lincoln twice a week as a minimum.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Being the Finance lead for all strategic bids.
  • Attending relevant bid meetings.
  • Identify and report any financial risks, including the impact of KPIs, ensuring that these are clearly understood by all bid team members.
  • Reviewing and completing bid documentation, identifying the relevant financial aspects whilst understanding the evaluation methodology to be applied by the customer.
  • Developing appropriate cost and pricing models and pricing mechanisms to support bids, remaining cognisant of the requirements and any conditions/restrictions in the bid documentation.
  • Supporting the application of the contract framework regulations, whilst providing advice on pricing restrictions applicable to a specific bid.
  • Ensuring there is congruence between the bids, the finance forecast models and the annual budget.
  • Effectively communicate with Inzpire's Commercial team and relevant stakeholders involved to conduct all costing and pricing work.
  • Liaising with our Commercial department to provide clarification on finance related ad hoc queries.
  • Ensuring various mandatory audit models for cost and pricing are completed as required.
  • Calculating rate cards.
  • Being the Operational Business Unit (OBU) Business Partner providing advice and support.
  • Completion of OBU forecasting, budgeting and 5-year strategic planning processes.
  • Work closely and iteratively in accordance with the project timeline and relevant OBU.
  • Undertaking the lead role, for Inzpire Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting and strategy.
  • Management of SAP Concur expenses system.
  • Undertaking ad hoc duties, analysis and reporting as required.

The Person

We are seeking an exceptional Finance professional with extensive pricing and costing knowledge, who utilising their skills are able to manage a variety of complex contracts and bids. Combined with Business Partnering, this is a role which is varied; therefore, you must be able to demonstrate your depth of knowledge and experience.

You will be used to working in a rapidly changing environment and be willing to undertake various Finance related duties and projects.

You must be at ease devising financial strategy bids, have experience of reviewing and completing relevant documentation with the ability to identify all financial aspects.

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
