St Augustine Academy is lookingto appoint an experienced and proactive Finance and Operations Manager to joinour dedicated and friendly school team.

This is a key role supporting the effective financial and operational runningof the Academy and wider Trust. You will work closely with senior staff and theTrust Finance Team to help ensure high standards across finance, site andpremises, IT, administration, health and safety, and payroll input.
The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, andexperience in school business or operational management. Experience in managingteams and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services areessential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeday-to-day finance operations, ensuring compliance with the Trust FinanceHandbook, ESFA requirements, and internal control systems.
• Supportthe Finance Business Partner and Trust Finance Director with monthly reporting,audits, year-end procedures, and statutory financial returns.
• Manageand reconcile payroll processes in liaison with external providers, ensuringaccurate pension and salary administration.
• Linemanage and support operational leads including finance, site, IT, administration,and catering, ensuring effective performance management and development.
• Ensurerobust H&S procedures are in place, including risk assessments, emergencyplanning, training, and incident reporting.
• Overseemaintenance, repairs, and capital projects in collaboration with the SiteManager, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient school facilities.
• Work withthe IT Network Manager to ensure IT systems are secure, effective, andcompliant with data protection and information governance requirements.
• Managethe wider administration team to ensure high-quality support services,efficient communication, and continuous service improvement.
• Overseecatering provision and school lettings to ensure value for money and smoothoperations across both internal and external services.
• Ensureoperational practices align with relevant legislation, Trust policies, and riskmanagement procedures, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
