The Role
To support the delivery of accurate, timely and reliable financial reporting across Network Operations, ICSS and Additional Services, ensuring financial information is robust, well-controlled and supports informed business decision-making.
This is a varied and commercially focused finance role that combines financial accounting, reporting, analysis and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and operational teams, you'll play a key role in month-end activities, revenue accounting, forecasting support and balance sheet management, helping to ensure Cornerstone maintains strong financial discipline while enabling business performance.

This role will help drive confidence in financial results through robust accounting practices, strong controls and meaningful analysis.

What You'll Do
Deliver accurate and timely month-end accounting activities across Network Operations, ICSS and Additional Services.
Prepare and post journals for accruals, prepayments, income and expenditure, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Manage additional services revenue calculations, invoicing activities and customer billing queries.
Produce monthly financial reporting and performance analysis, including month-on-month and year-to-date commentary.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, integrity and compliance with accounting policies.
Partner with Finance Business Partners to understand in-month activities, supporting accurate reporting and informed financial decision-making.
Support forecasting activities by providing financial insight, challenge and analysis to help improve forecast accuracy.
⚠️ Identify financial risks and opportunities by analysing operational cost drivers and business performance trends.
️ Support finance system enhancements and process improvement initiatives, helping to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
✅ Assist with internal and external audit requirements, providing appropriate documentation and financial support where required.
What You'll Bring
You'll bring strong financial accounting knowledge and a genuine interest in understanding how financial performance supports wider business objectives. Comfortable working with data, reporting deadlines and multiple stakeholders, you'll be someone who enjoys bringing accuracy, insight and structure to complex financial information.
You'll be confident working both independently and collaboratively, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. With strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset, you'll not only produce accurate reporting but also help identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen financial performance.
You'll also bring:
Part-qualified or qualified CIMA / ACCA status, or equivalent finance experience
Experience within a financial accounting or management accounting environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Experience producing financial reports, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work accurately and effectively to tight deadlines
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation
A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
