The opportunity

Cheil are looking to fill a really exciting role for a highly skilled and self-motivated Account Director. This is a senior level position responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing the strategy and execution of marketing campaigns across all channels for one of our key clients, Samsung. A key part of this is media fulfilment, so strong delivery experience is essential.

We are looking for someone that wants to join a team with the ambition to really make a difference, someone who wants to get under the skin of our clients' business needs and ensure we work in partnership with them to drive the business forward.

The primary role involves serving as the main point of contact between the agency and the clients ensuring that client needs and expectations are met and that projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will be responsible for the day to day budget management and performance analysis to ensure team effectiveness and that we are exceeding client expectations. You will also be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying and pursuing potential clients and pitching agency services.

What the day to day looks like...

There are currently 2 key areas you will work with Samsung on:

  • Samsung mobile and computing division fulfilling media campaigns - this is a high volume, quick turnaround workstream, which requires flexibility, being able to prioritise and strong attention to detail. While there are campaigns throughout the year, there are 2 big flagship campaigns annually where delivery is of the essential to meet global launches.
  • Samsung ESBO services (TV Plus, Gaming Hub, Health, Art etc) - The work varies across the services and across European markets, where we deliver a variety of creative campaigns from branding campaigns, channel Sizzle reels and bumpers, digital campaigns, advertising campaign, events etc. The latest event we delivered in December 2023 was the Samsung Gaming hub challenge, which was a world first 3D live streaming event on the mega Piccadilly screen.

In addition to this we have a strong new business drive, so you will be expected to identify new business opportunities on existing workstreams, push for creative opportunities as well as widen our reach outside of these current project areas to grow the business

You will work closely with the internal teams, to ensure resources and operations are working effectively and efficiently. You will require a solid business and financial acumen and be expected to keep the internal and Samsung team up to date on a regular basis.
