Job Title: FCAS Digital Transformation Services (DTS) Project Manager

Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £54,793 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will manage aspects of the Project lifecycle, ensuring it meets requirements, in line with budgets and timescales, whilst owning one or more lower value projects
  • You will facilitate uptake of Projects by planning development of Project collateral, supporting and evaluating campaigns, and monitoring Project performance. Rolls out Project trials and Project launches
  • You will create the business readiness plan, taking into consideration deployment, data, capability (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new digital processes or jobs into the “business as usual” environment
  • You will monitor and report progress on business readiness targets, business engagement activity, training design and deployment activities, key operational metrics and return to productivity measures
  • You will identify the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups, translating communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables
  • You will facilitate open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans
  • You will provide informed feedback to assess and promote understanding – Captures and disseminates technical and business information
  • You will utilise methods, tools, and techniques, selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches
  • And you will assist in the development of new or improved practices and organisational processes or standards and facilitates localised improvements to the quality system or services

Your skills and experiences:

  • Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. HNC / Prince 2 Foundations / Computer Science Degree)
  • Experience in delivering objectives in line with some if not all of the Project Management policies and processes
  • Experience working within an IT function and of the ITIL framework, ideally with relevant ITIL qualifications
  • Knowledge of the SIAM operating model would be beneficial

The DTD&I FCAS team:

This role will be deployed from the Digital Transformation Services (DTS) PMO into the Digital Transformation Data & Infrastructure (DTD&I), FCAS team to support the portfolio of projects and supporting new FCAS Infrastructure. You will be working with the IM&T Supply Chain and integrating activities with Air, Facilities and FCAS Security.

The incumbent will be expected to shape, mobiles, plan and lead internal and external projects whilst adhering to internal BAE Systems delivery assurance processes and will be required to collaborate across Enterprise IT (EITS) and within the Portfolio and Project Management Team (PPM) to address lessons learned, share good practice and continuously improve delivery management.
