Permanent Contract | £32,076 to £33,945 per annum (Scale H)

37 hours per week-Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, including Bank Holidays and Occasional Evenings | Gressenhall, Dereham

We are looking for an organised and self-motivated individual with farm management experience to be the professional lead to develop and manage the operation of Union Farm, the heritage farm at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse

Operating within a visitor environment, you must be able to work confidently and safely with a range of livestock including heavy horses and cattle. The heavy horses are used to demonstrate traditional farming techniques across the farm site. The postholder must also be able to safely operate a range of farm machinery and equipment, both traditional and modern

You should have demonstrable experience of working in a heritage farm setting including working with and handling traditional breeds of livestock plus maintaining all animal welfare and healthcare, including administering all veterinary medicines

Experience of varied agricultural work and an excellent understanding of farm legislation and Health and Safety procedures is also required

We need a skilled communicator with a strong customer service focus who excels at working with the public, audiences and colleagues at all levels. You will be able to work alone but also as part of the wider heritage site team.

You will have a good standard of education and a relevant degree or industry-recognised qualification is desirable. Good computer literacy and numeracy skills are essential
